AN APULIAN GNATHIA WARE SKYPHOS

The black glazed bowl with shallow vertical ribbing, with twin knotted handles, on flaring pedestal foot, traces of white painted decoration, repaired, 7 1/8 in. (18 cm.) high; an Etruscan impasto ware bowl with protruding knobs around the shoulder, twin loop handles, repaired, 7½ in. (19 cm.) wide; a black impasto ware jar, decorated with dotted meanders around the neck, bands of vertical grooves on the body interspersed with dotted circles on the shoulder, repaired, 6 1/8 in. (15.5 cm.) high, both early 7th Century B.C.; a Hellenistic black glazed miniature amphora, 7½ in. (19 cm.) high; and a large black glazed skyphos, with encrustation, repaired, 6 3/8 in. (16.3 cm.) high, both 4th Century B.C. (5)
