LATE 3RD/EARLY 1ST MILLENNIUM B.C.
Comprising an unusual Luristan axe head with cutaway socket, the flaring blade emerging from the open mouth of a horse head, the shaft and curved butt forming a stylized fish with open mouth and pierced circular eyes, late 3rd millennium B.C.; an Elamite axehead with curving rounded blade, the shaft with a pair of incised and pierced eyes, a curving crest at the side of the shaft, 8 in. (20.2 cm.) long; another, similar, smaller, 3½ in. (8.9 cm.) long; an Elamite axehead with wide flaring blade and three bosses on the shaft, 4¾ in. (12 cm.) long; an axehead with ram standing on the side of the shaft, 3½ in. (8.9 cm.) long, all early 2nd millennium B.C.; a Luristan heavy hinged bracelet decorated with two confronting heads in relief on the top, flanked on each side by a human three-nosed mask with four eyes, hinge pins missing, 3 7/8 in. (9.8 cm.) across; a horse pendant with suspension loop, 2½ in. (6.3 cm.) high; two harness rings, each with double conjoined rings with central ibex head protome, 2 in. (5 cm.) high max.; another single harness ring surmounted by a standing moufflon with curving horns, 3 3/8 in. (8.5 cm.) high; a recumbent quadruped with pointed muzzle, the terminal of a pin, 2 7/8 in. (7.3 cm.) long; and an iron pin with stylized recumbent lion terminal, 9¼ in. (23.5 cm.) long, all early 1st millennium B.C. (12)
