A CYPRIOT BASE RING WARE TWIN-BODIED VESSEL
LATE BRONZE AGE, 1600-1450 B.C.
Of 'poppy-head' form, the twin juglets joined at the side of body, with single vertical handle bifurcating at top to join rims, the cylindrical neck with moulded band, on flared feet, repaired with restoration, 4 1/8 in. (10.5 cm.) high; a white pottery juglet, probably a potter's model for a larger vessel, of 'poppy-head' form with offset neck and everted rim, decorated with notched relief bands, paired spiral on the body and twin collars around the neck at join of handle, incised herringbone motif at base of handle, restored rim, 5¾ in. (14.7 cm.) high; and three Base Ring Ware juglets, similar, decorated with relief bands, on ring feet, two with restoration, all Late Bronze Age, 1600-1450 B.C., 5¾ in. (14.7 cm.) high max. (5)
