TWO CYPRIOT RED-ON-BLACK WARE ZOOMORPHIC ASKOI
MIDDLE BRONZE AGE, 1900-1650 B.C.
Comprising an askos with small bull's head emerging from beneath the long cylindrical spout, the spout with loop handle joining the centre back, the rear end tapered with tail tucked beneath the body, on three stump legs, painted black with blocks of red painted lines; and an askos possibly in the form of a camel with long thin neck, a high cylindrical spout and handle on its centre back, a short tail out behind, on ring base, faint traces of red painted decoration
