TWO CYPRIOT DRAB POLISHED WARE JUGS
MIDDLE BRONZE AGE, 1900-1650 B.C.
One with spherical body and cutaway-beak spout, single lug beneath the spout and four perforated pinched ribs around the body, twisted ring handle, with fine stippled and incised linear decoration, including vertical lines of zigzag and stippled triangles, unusual off-white surface colour, spout restored; and another, similar, with the addition of four bosses around the body and a moulded imitation cord hanging from the neck, with shorter beak spout, repaired
12¾ in. (32.3 cm.) and 9¼ in. (23.4 cm.) high respectively (2)
