A CYPRIOT RELIEF-DECORATED RED POLISHED WARE JUG
EARLY BRONZE AGE, 2500-1900 B.C.
The spherical-bodied jug with slightly flattened base and double loop handle, cutaway-beak spout, a raised boss on either side of the body, the centre with an unusual moulded eye motif comprising a suspended arch with central boss, traces where repeated below the handle (now missing), spout and handle repaired with restoration; and another jug similar, Plain Red Polished Ware, with twisted notched handle, a central protruding boss on the body, another below handle and a small boss at base of neck, spout repaired, Early Bronze Age, 2500-1900 B.C.
