TWO CYPRIOT MOTTLED RED POLISHED WARE JUGS
EARLY BRONZE AGE, 2500-1900 B.C.
Comprising a jug with spherical body and tall cylindrical neck, the neck with pierced 'ear'-lugs, each with horizontal incisions below, a circular flattened boss on shoulder at either side of the handle, zigzag incision down the handle and incised band around base of neck, repaired with minor restoration; and a twin-necked jug, the round based body with offset twin spouts, each with everted rim, a single vertical handle divides at the top to connect the two spouts, one neck repaired
13½ in. (34.2 cm.) and 9 in. (23 cm.) high respectively (2)
