carved as an old bearded scholar wearing draped cowl and long flowing robes tied at the waist, holding a fruiting spray in one hand, and a female attendant carrying a flower basket, attached wooden stand, the scholar -- 6¼in. (15.8cm.) high, (small chip to base of the attendants robes).
