A pair of Cantonese baluster vases
19th century
with tall flaring necks, everted foliate rims, moulded guei dragon handles and further dragons to the shoudlers, painted and gilt with panels of ladies and dignitaries on terraces on grounds of scattered fruit and flower sprays, butterflies and precious objects -- 22¾in. (57.8cms) high, (both with star cracks to necks, some gilt rubbing).
