Two bars from one of the most popular works in the opera repertory, La Bohème (1896), comprising the opening of the celebrated melody for "Mi chiamano Mimi," on a boldly hand-drawn stave, labeled by Puccini "La Bohème" above. Written in an extremely bold, free hand, the composer's signature fully 6½ in. in length, with flourish beneath.
