PUCCINI, Giacomo (1858-1924). Autograph musical quotation signed ("Giacomo Puccini"), London, 9 October 1905. 1 page, oblong 8vo, in a fine giltwood frame. Two bars from one of the most popular works in the opera repertory, La Bohème (1896), comprising the opening of the celebrated melody for "Mi chiamano Mimi," on a boldly hand-drawn stave, labeled by Puccini "La Bohème" above. Written in an extremely bold, free hand, the composer's signature fully 6½ in. in length, with flourish beneath.
