Title printed in red and black. 34 engraved double-page maps, all with outline coloring except the city maps (ink stamps on versos, with a duplicate copy of the map of Rome and the map of Sicily lacking, spotting and browning). Near contemporary quarter calf (covers detached, worn).
The map of Louisiana and the Mississippi River are dedicated to William Law. "Chiefly interesting for the copiousness of its information concerning America, which is illustrated by seven immense maps" (Sabin 79124). Phillips Atlases 563; Sabin 79124.
