To T.H.Sidney Esqre., Senior Vice-President. We deeply regret to hear of your proposed withdrawal from official connection with the Football League. Since your election as a Vice-President in 1897 you have been a most devoted member of the Management Committee, performing the duties devolving upon you with characteristic dilligence and unfiring energy. Having been associated with you from time to time in the management and government of the League, we feel we cannot allow this severance to pass without expressing our appreciation of your magnetic personality and faithful work on behalf, and in the interest of, the League and its Clubs. To us the loss is a great personal one.
