Tasting note:...The wines, produced by Manfred and Elaine Krankl, are amongst the most dramatic and individualistic being fashioned in California...The massive, dry 1996 Omadhaum Poltroon's 15.2 alcohol is well concealed beneath this full-bodied wine's glycerin and unctuous texture. The knockout nose of honeyed citrus and rose petals is followed by a chewy, remarkable pure, dry wine oozing with extract.
