A fine silver watch-form pocket compass by Dollond, circa 1786
the 1 7/8in. enamel dial with thirty-two point rose and steel needle, the back cover signed Dollond London, fully hallmarked inside with additional duty mark and makers mark T.H. [Thomas Hardy?], brass needle clamp mechanism, chain loop and concave glazed front, contained with in original plush lined shagreen case with hinge and securing hook -- 2¼in. (5.7cm.) high
