A LATE 19TH CENTURY NELSON STICK STAND
cast iron, the back with full length figure of the Admiral in full uniform holding a telescope, his left sleeve pinned, standing atop a themed plinth with sea horses, anchors etc, and entitled NELSON, removable shell-form drip pan, leaf-patterned supports and stick holders, the reverse with stamped design registration number '114828' for 1888-1889, finished in black, blue, 'gold' and others -- 31 x 19½ x 9½in. (79 x 49.5 x 24cm.)
