written in a florid hand over half of one folded sheet with watermark for Portal & Co 1794 and addressed off Cape St Vincent febry 15th and reading Joy & Victory my most belov'd little woman! With fifteen sail of the line we sought and fell in with the Spanish fleet consisting 26 -- The result is the capture of two first Rates + two seventy fours -- Nothing but a miracle sav'd the Saintatissima Trinidada from falling into our hands. She has been obliged to fly for Cadiz with two other ships equally crippled, within archive slip file in card folder with transcript and notes
