The frosting on the main details of the reverse has already been noted and published. It is perhaps worth recording here that other, even smaller, details are frosted. The cross and the garter of the Garter star, the crowns over the shields, the Irish harp, and even the Scottish lion have been treated in this way. In the case of the Scottish lion the over-zealous engraver has unfortunately transformed the royal beast into a French poodle.
