Of waisted baluster form, on domed shaped circular base, richly chased and embossed with flowerheads and acanthus foliage, the bifurcated scroll handles similarly formed and engraved to one side with coat-of-arms and to the other with inscription 'This Oration Prize the Legacy of Dr Hooper, Adjudged to Walter Perry Workman by Trinity College, Cambridge, 1883'
The arms are those of Trinity College, Cambridge
