CHINESE COMBINATION COVERS
QQMail to overseas had to be sent throughone of the foreign post offices. If mailed from a town or city without an office or agency, a Chinese stamp (or cash paid chop) needed to be applied to pay for the local delivery by the Chinese Post Office.

China I.C.P. 1c. stationery card (vertical and horizontal creases) with additional C.I.P. 1c. and 2c. tied by the Chingchowfu square intalio seal, sent via the German Post Office in Tsingtao where 1898 5pf. (2, 56 dergees) applied and cancelled by the type 5a c.d.s. Addressed to Secondi, Gold Coast with Weihsien dated oval, Kaiochow dated oval (2, one dated "MAR 30" and one "31 MAR"), London examiner's mark and Secondi arrival, the reverse with Hong Kong transit.
