AN OAK AND INLAID LINEN PRESS, WELSH, LATE 18TH/EARLY 19TH CENTURY
the upper part with moulded cornice and mahogany banded frieze, above a pair of twin panelled doors, each panel with ebonised line inlay and mahogany re-entrant corners, the upper panel centred with a plumwood oval within an ebonised line inlaid lattice arrangement, flanked by spiral twist columns with corbels above and a lozenge filled panel below, the lower section with two small and two long drawers flanked by plumwood quarter columns and with shaped bracket feet -- 54in. (137cm.) wide, 78½in. (200cm.) high, 22½in. (58cm.) deep
