1976 notes the merger of two families of three children through the marriage of John Livingston and Diane Moffett. In 1984 they joined with noted Napa Valley winemaker, Randy Dunn, and began producing their own wine from their seven-year-old Cabernet vineyard on the Rutherford Bench, a narrow strip of the Valley famous for producing superior Cabernet grapes. Livingston specialises in Cabernet wines and theirs are among the most highly rated in America having earned "Big league" and "Top echelon" accolades from national wine reviewers.
