REVENUES
Spink America is pleased to be able to offer the extensive U.S. Revenue holdings of Ernest C. Wilkens. Ernie was the epitome of an "old-fashioned" collector, philatelic scholar and enthusiastic researcher who always gave freely of his time and energy to the hobby. For Ernie stamps existed to possess, study and preserve for future generations of collectors.
He distained exhibiting for the sole purpose of receiving medals, yet his revenue holdings were well-known to almost everyone in the revenue community. We trust you will enjoy and appreciate his lifelong revenue collections, especially his extensive U.S. Tax Paid Revenues, which contain many rare and several unique items. Please see lots 436-442 and lot 481 for his Canadian Revenues.
