Cigars, 50 Series 1883-98 Cigars, Counterfeits (Springer TC122C, TC146, TC158), three used counterfeit stamps, produced to defraud the government of tax, first two are marked "Counterfeit" in ms. on the front, last marked "Counterfeit" in pencil on reverse (the letters of the watermark are too close together, as noted in Bartlett & Norton), usual faults and mends, otherwise fine-very fine, a great lot for the specialist
