marked P. Ovchinnikov with Imperial warrant, Moscow, circa 1890
The spherical engraved glass flasks with cylindrical cloisonné enamel mounted necks, decorated with floral scrolls, birds, strapwork and geometric design on stippled ground, with blue border, stoppers with floral design on turquoise ground, the rectangular tray on four enamelled circular feet with two applied flask stands and twelve charki stands, the twelve charki of traditional form on domed feet with shaped flat handles, all with floral, geometric design and birds on stippled ground, with tuquoise and white boarders, tray with an inscription "Presented to the Marquess of Lansdowne. Viceroy of India. by H.I.H. The Czarevitch of Russia. Calcutta. 1891", marked on tray and base of charki
