Cyrillic mark IK probably for Ivan Krutikov, Moscow, 1908-1917; indistinct Cyrillic mark ?NZh, probably for Nikolia Zhverev, Moscow, 1908-1917
The kovsh of traditional form, decorated in the lower half of the circular body lilac, cream and brown triangular reserves decorated with flowers in blue borders, the upper section with two bands of geometric designs on cream, purple and green grounds, the prow and surround with flowerheads on blue ground, the shaped hook handle with a combination of the above decorations on the upper surface and with purple borders; the circular bowl with shaped rim, the side decorated with two reserves of floral scrolls on pale green ground with blue pellet waived rim, divided by two smaller reserves with foliate scroll and flowerhead on a purple ground, both marked on base
the kovsh 4½in. (11.5cm.) long; the salt 2 3/8in. (6cm.) diam. (2)
