The mount composed of an escallop bordered rim and hinged domed cover surmounted by a ball finial, all secured by silver rivets to the jug, the jug of contemporary Chineses export-ware porcelain with short spout and plaited strap handle, painted with a figure on a skip fishing on a lake before pavillions, willow, pines and rockwork
