A Meissen (outside-decorated) plate
painted in the Vienna style with classical scene within a gilt roundel enriched with raised gilt dot and zig-zag ornament, the border painted en grisaille with eight portrait medallions upon a gilt-ground flanked by stylised gilt flowerheads within diamond panels, blue crossed swords mark (damages and restoration) -- 24cm. diam.; and a yellow ground plate painted with a vignette of three putti, within a raised gilt diaper-pattern scrolling cartouche, the rim moulded and gilt with scrolls, blue crossed swords mark and gilt 8, late 19th century (rubbing to gillding) -- 25.5cm. diam.
