A Sèvres style pottery dark-blue-ground gilt-metal-mounted circular box and cover
painted with a quarter-length portrait of A La Marquise de Sevigne/Paris, signed, titled to the underside, within a scrolling raised gilt foliate cartouche, the side gilt with crossed torches flanked by stylised ornament, the interior painted with bouquets of flowers, imitation Sèvres marks, circa 1900 (minor scratches and flaking to enamels and gilt and small chip to edge of rim) -- 15.5cm. diam.
