A Vienna style slender oviform vase
with flared neck, painted with a three-quarter-length portrait of Ruth of the Cornfield within a gilt oval panel with raised flowerheads, reserved on a dark copper-lustre ground gilt with foliate swags and small white 'jewelled' ornament beneath Greek Key pattern band, on slightly flared foot, titled to the base, blue shield mark, gilt mark and painted numerals, late 19th century (minor scratching and rubbing to gilding) -- 29.5cm. high
