A large Meissen (outside-decorated) flower-encrusted vase and pierced cover
with flower-cluster finial, the two-handled ogee-shaped vase painted with a spray of flowers and scattered sprigs, a similar flowerspray to the reverse, and applied with a putto, insects and garlands of flowers and fruit, the lower section moulded and gilt with scrolls, on spreading circular foot, blue crossed swords and cancellation mark, late 19th century (some damages and restoration) -- 75cm. high
