A pair of Meissen dark-blue-ground oviform vases
each painted with vignettes of classical scenes including Diana the Huntress and Procris and Cephalus, within oval gilt panels issuing scrolling leaves between gilt lambrequins, the white and gilt pierced scroll handles beaded and with anthemion terminals, blue crossed swords marks, incised H148, Pressnummer 8, circa 1875 (very light rubbing to gilding and some minor scratches) -- 37cm. high
