Shaped oval form and on four lion mask and paw feet, with fluted angles, beaded guilloche rim, and upright flying scroll handles issuing from rocaille and capped with acanthus foliage, domed fluted cover with foliage cast ring handle, the body and cover engraved with a coat of arms to either side, the cover further engraved twice with a crest

The lozenge-shaped armorial with gartered motto inscribed 'purchased with part of a legacy from Mrs Ormsby of Porkington'. The armorials are those of an unidentified Welsh family. The double quartered armorial includes the arms of Bardwell or Baker, Vaughan or Griffith, and perhaps Savage. The Welsh motto translates as 'a pure conscience is a safeguard to it's possessor'
