Just the 1986 represented here - but it was a great success at Margaux. It is certainly a wine for the future and will reward the patient.

Like the Lafite, the Margaux 1986 seems to be the Château's long-haul wine of the 1980's. Corinne Mentzelopolous presented the wine to great acclaim at the Wine Experience in 1989. Michael Broadbent comments: "impressively deep, intense, still immature; distinctive nose, violet-like fragrance but hard; fairly full-bodied, lovely flavour, quite sweet fruit leading to a crisp, tannic, acid finish and noticeably good aftertaste."
