A FRENCH GILT-METAL AND SÉVRES-PATTERN PORCELAIN MANTEL CLOCK
Late 19th Century
The cylinder movement striking on a single bell, with shaped arched pink-ground porcelain dial, painted with a scene of a gentleman, lady and girl within a rustic landscape, the bowed sides incorporating further painted porcelain panels, decorated with rustic views, the shaped pediment surmounted by a two-handled urn and cover flanked by turned acanthus-cast finials, on rounded rectangular breakfront base, the frieze cast with a female portrait mask supported by foliate swags, on toupie supports, with velvet-lined giltwood plinth bearing a silvered presentation plaque and glass dome
