An ivory netsuke of a rat
Late 18th Early 19th Century
carved seated holding a nut with its forepaws, its coiled tail coiled beneath, finely incised hairwork all over and the bulging eyes inset with dark shell, incised signature of Okatori on a rectangular reserve to back -- 1 5/8in. (4.1cm.) long, (age cracks).
