A baluster shaped ginbari cloisonne vase
Early 20th Century
decorated in various coloured enamels with peony sprays issuing from stylised rockwork on geometric grounds fading from green to white -- 5 5/8in. (14.3cm.) high; another ginbari cloisonne vase of lobed ovoid shape, decorated with flower blooms and reeds above a flowing stream, on a pink fading to yellow ground, stamped Kawaguchi Bunzaemon mark to base -- 4¾in. (12cm.) high; and four further ginbari cloisonne vases decorated in various coloured enamels with flowers and birds on geometric blue-white grounds, two with stamped marks to bases -- 6 1/8in. (15.6cm.) max. high, (minor wear).
