An ivory okimono of a farmer
19th Century
carved standing wearing robes tied at the waist, carrying a bale of straw over his shoulder, on an oval base -- 8 1/8in. (20.6cm.) high; an ivory okimono of a fisherman and his son standing on rockwork beside foaming waves below a mythical winged female wearing long robes and celestial scarf, on an oval base -- 13½in. (34.4cm.) high; and another ivory okimono of a bearded man holding an axe standing on rockwork with one foot raised resting on a shishi with a ball, above the figure is a small winged child, on an oval base -- 13 3/8in. (34cm.) high, (minor restoration and nicks).
