A bronze censer in the form of a kirin
Edo Period
the single horned beast modelled seated with the front left leg raised and its head turned facing upwards, the mouth wide open revealing the teeth, a large bushy tail below its scaled back with a small cover formed from the scales, traces of gilt -- 10 3/8in. (26.4cm.) high, (rubbing).
