A Satsuma part tea and coffee service
19th century
comprising a teapot and cover, five teacups and six saucers, four coffee cups and six saucers, all painted and gilt with butterflies in flight above irises and below trailing wisteria branches -- the teapot and cover 4¼in. (10.8cm.) high, signed Nippon Yozan; and a composite sake set with a sake ewer and cover, a beaker and five saucers, variously decorated with geese in flight and swirling waters -- the sake ewer 3in. (7.5cm.) high, signed.
