Comprising two tilt-top end-sections, the rounded rectangular top with moulded edge, on turned baluster supports and hipped downswept legs carved with foliage, brass caps and castors, restorations to the bearers

Lot Essay

This pedestal dining-table has several Irish characteristics, including the deep edge on the top, the large leaf-carved 'hip' on the leg and the thick baluster columns.
A related pedestal dining-table, attributed to the Dublin cabinet-makers, Mack, Williams and Gibton (circa 1812-1829) was sold anonymously, in these Rooms, 8 July 1999, lot 109 and another was sold anonymously, also in these Rooms, 15 April 1999, lot 161.
