A set of Gothic chairs in The Gallery at Croft Castle, Herefordshire, and originally from Farleigh Castle, Somerset, share the rectinilear arms of these chairs (Guidebook, 1991, p. 19).

The Gothic-fretted chair frames have quatrefoiled rails and cusp-arched tablets relating to a suite of George IV dining-chairs commissioned by the Earl of Derby for Knowsley Hall, Lancashire (sold anonymously, in these Rooms, 27 June 1985, lot 91).
