Lot Essay

The larger fishing vessel is a three masted Lugger, common on the East Coast, and is working with her two smaller rowing boats who are setting their herring drift nets, which will be hauled later by the lugger. Meanwhile the bow of the Collier Brig passes close astern with its cargo destined for London or the Continent.
