No VAT will be charged on the hammer price, but VA… Read more STANLEY ANDERSON (1884-1966) (LOTS 109-111) Stanley Anderson was born in Bristol, the son of an engraver, who sent him to a seven year engraving apprenticeship after which he studied at the Royal College of Art, London. Anderson often chose to depict routine human activities. His engravings and drypoint etchings are of great social and topographical interest, often depicting rural activities, which have now largely disappeared. The Ashmolean Museum, Oxford hold a complete collection of his engravings. His training as an engraver can be seen in his meticulous and careful style.
