A GREEK TERRACOTTA HEAD OF A WOMAN
Circa Late 6th Century B.C.
Originally joined to a full figure, her long ovoid face with large angled almond-shaped eyes, high arching brows, "archaic" smile and narrow chin, her hair densely rolled over her forehead and stamped with open circles, with two plaits falling on either side, wearing large disk earrings, her stephane above, its upper edge with twelve impressed mortises for insertion of now-missing elements
