Each side with a departure scene, one side with a hoplite with an archer beside him facing left, the warrior armed with a long spear, a crested Corinthian helmet and a shield with five balls as the device, an elderly bearded man facing him on the left, clad in a himation, with white flowers and a red border, over a chiton, a staff in his left hand, his long white hair falling in three plaits on his shoulders, a younger bearded man to the right, similarly clad, with a staff in his right hand; the other side with a similar scene, the hoplite unaccompanied, his shield with a woman's leg as the device, an elderly man standing to the left, and a woman to the right, with a red fillet in her hair; with rays above the foot, a band of lotus bud chain and a band of key below the scenes, alternating black and red tongues on the shoulders, lotus bud chain on the neck , and palmettes and lotus buds below the double-reeded handles, details in added red and white, a dipinto on the underside of the foot in red
