AN ETRUSCAN TERRACOTTA ANTEFIX WITH THE HEAD OF A YOUNG SATYR
Circa Mid 3rd-Early 2nd Century B.C.
The youthful figure with ridged brow and thickly-lidded small eyes, the lips full, his short pointed ears emerging from his wild wavy hair, some tresses falling to his shoulders, a fillet in his hair of ivy and berries with grapes descending below his ears, a cloak tied around his neck, a strut at the nape of the neck joining the back of the head to the arch of the antefix
