A ROMAN MARBLE RELIEF FRAGMENT
Circa 2nd Century A.D.
Depicting a woman seated in profile to the right on a high-backed chair, wearing a tunic under a mantle which is pulled up over the back of her head, her right hand resting on her right knee, her left hand raised to her face in the pudicitia pose, her feet resting upon a plinth, a wreath hanging in the field above, a small female attendant wearing a tunic standing to the left, possibly holding an offering
