Two Sèvres plates
one painted with a bouquet of violas within two concentric blue lines, the border painted with meandering pink roses edged by blue gilt-edged bands, blue script Sèvres marks and R.F monogram, incised c l and V -- 25.5cm. diam.; the other painted with a spray of pink roses within a blue concentric band, reserved on a ground painted with sprays of violas and violets within a blue gilt-edged border, blue script Sèvres mark, painter's mark Y for Bouillat, grey interlaced Ls, gilt square with 895 and initials M.A. over an indistinct underglaze blue mark, incised 24 -- 25.5cm. diam., circa 1795 (slight rubbing and surface scratches)
