A Berlin (K.P.M.) two-handled lobed oval basket
with stalk-moulded handles issuing leaves and berries, painted to the interior with insects above a generous spray of fruit and flowers below openwork sides, the rim moulded with meandering bands and reserved with flowerheads, blue sceptre mark, impressed numerals, circa 1805 (minor chips to openwork and some firing cracks) -- 29cm. wide
