The Madonna and Child

The attribution has been confirmed by Professor Maria Pajes Merriman in a letter dated 10 December 1996. She notes that the picture dates from late in the artist's career by which time his work is often hard to distinguish from that of his son, Luigi. The rapid painting technique is characteristic of the small paintings produced in relatively large numbers by Giuseppe at that period.
